‘This task is impossible!’ – This is how your participants will often react when you put them to the test. And that's no surprise! Just imagine the following: 17 of a total of 18 nails have to be balanced on the remaining nail so that none of them touch the ground. An ideal metaphor for working with groups that are confronted with seemingly hopeless situations in the real working environment.
Implementation
The trainer places the base on the table. While giving the task, he/she pushes the first nail into the holder with the tip first. The participants are then given time to discuss the problem and develop a solution.
