Learning project
Teamwork would be so wonderful – if the others didn't make it so difficult! Unfortunately, every member of the team has their own perspective on the matter. And if you don't manage to communicate sufficiently with the other team members about your respective views, misunderstandings will inevitably arise due to a lack of information. This in turn leads to poor coordination and delays. In concrete terms, this means communicating your own perspective clearly and listening carefully to your colleagues so that you can fully understand their position. Because only excellent communication can lead to excellent results!
Implementation
As in real life, ‘visionaries’ and ‘doers’ must work well together when building FutureCity. Each visionary has a picture card with information relevant to the construction, but they are not allowed to show it to the other visionaries or the doers. The visionaries must coordinate with each other and consult with the doers solely through skilful communication – because only the doers are allowed to touch the components for constructing FutureCity. Only when everyone in the team coordinates really well with each other can the buildings be constructed step by step as planned. But be careful, because the components look different from every perspective. Just because the component is blue for one visionary does not mean that it looks the same to another. The learning project is suitable for groups of 4 to 24 people and can be adapted to the desired level of difficulty.
