Learning project
In everyday life, many teams repeatedly encounter situations that cannot be solved unless all members literally ‘pull together’. Use the Scoop to show your participants time and again how important cooperation and moderation are in teamwork!
Implementation
The aim of the team is to pick up a ball using the Scoop – a shovel-like construction – and transport it to an agreed destination. To do this, each participant grabs one end of a rope so that the group forms a circle. The Scoop must now be manoeuvred together. Among others, the following variants have proven successful.
Remote control: A previously defined leadership team is entrusted with the task of coordinating the implementation of the project. The members of the leadership team are not allowed to touch the ropes of the Scoop. How do they manage to communicate the task and process transparently and coordinate it in a goal-oriented manner?
Activation: Working together and coordinated by the entire group, the ball is picked up with the help of the tube and placed at another predefined location. Everyone is involved and attention is refocused.
Self-organisation: Without an explicitly defined leadership team, the group must solve the task in a self-organised manner. Coordination takes place within the group.
