Information exchange and cooperation at interfaces and in bottleneck situations pose a real challenge for every team. When building the SmartMarble, participants learn first-hand the crucial role that effective communication plays in achieving common goals independently of one another.
Implementation
Participants are given the task of building a SmartMarble in two separate teams using the materials provided. At the end, both the construction method and the throughput time of the balls should be the same for both tracks. Communication between the teams is organised with messengers. Information may only be passed on verbally. If the technical aids are available, communication within the network can also take place via walkie-talkie or email.
