Learning project
Explicit and implicit rules are an expression of every culture. Whether it is the culture of an ethnic group or the culture of a company or department, rules determine how people live together. Dealing with unfamiliar rules is the main topic of this learning project.
Implementation
It starts very simply. At each table, the participants begin playing with specially designed dice. In the process, they learn the rules. After a short time, they are no longer allowed to speak. Now some of the participants change tables and continue playing at a different table. What they don't know, however, is that the rules at each table are different from those at the table they came from. Without speaking, they now have to deal with the unfamiliar situation and either learn new rules or ‘import’ their own. In any case, without words! This gently measured culture shock is an eye-opener. Here, we can experience how we feel as strangers in a new environment and what we need in order to find our bearings.
