Learning project

The term “CommuniCards” is a combination of communication and card. This learning scenario brings together a variety of topics. As with a puzzle, the group is confronted with a problem that can only be solved with the art of communication. CommuniCards is a real treasure trove for communication professionals!

Implementation

The participants sit in a tight circle with their eyes blindfolded. The trainer takes two of the thirty cards from the set and distributes the remaining cards to the participants. The task is to determine the colour and shape of the two missing cards exclusively through verbal communication. The trainer only provides information about the colour; when a participant holds up a card, the colour is told to them. Depending on the size of the group and the desired level of difficulty, CommuniCards can also be carried out with fewer colours or shapes.

How It’s Done

All participants sit blindfolded in a small circle. The trainer takes two of the thirty cards and distributes the remaining 28 among the participants. The group’s task is to discover the shape and colour of the two missing cards by sharing information as a team about their cards. The trainer merely supplies information about the colour. CommuniCards can also be played using fewer shapes and colours, depending on the size of the group. Ideally, each participant will get two cards.
