Learning project
‘Make as many facets of communication as possible tangible!’ That was the goal of our developers when designing this learning scenario. Listening, moderating, adapting to others, developing a common language... and all this in an appreciative manner. If the group also has fun in the process, the most important learning prerequisites for successful communication are fulfilled!
Implementation
The participants are given pieces of an octagonal shape. The edges of these pieces are printed with symbols. Each symbol has a counterpart on the adjacent piece of the solution shape. The aim is now to assemble this octagonal solution shape correctly and place it completely face down on a table. However, the symbols on your own pieces must not be shown to the others. The key here is successful communication. Only those who describe the symbols with the appropriate words in such a way that the matching counterparts can be found are communicating in a goal-oriented manner. But how exactly do I describe my own point of view, my own perspective? In this exciting phase, good self-organisation and moderation are also required. Once all the connections have been found, the complete shape can be laid down at once. At the end, things get really exciting again... has the group worked well? Everyone will soon be able to see. The trainer turns over the complete shape, which is magnetised on the back, with the help of the magnetic plate, and the group sees the result of their own ‘communication’.
